I understand perfectly...I'm the world's most stereotypical homebody! And now that I'm knitting my first pair of socks, I can understand that burning desire to keep going so you can see the finished product. So did you succumb to temptation and stay home or were you a "good little teacher" and meet your obligations? Me? I think I would stay home if there was any way possible. If not, I would go and do my thing but rush home rather than linger over conversation.
