Tonight ...

...when I kiss my mother good-bye and leave her alone in her one small room in a nursing home -

Not only will it be in a MUCH NICER nursing home than she's in, it will be to drive fifteen minutes to my house, not fourteen hours.

Tomorrow if she's craving a baked potato? I can bring her one, instead of promising to try to get her one at Christmas.

I'm so happy for both of you!
YOU "bake" potatoes??? Oh YUM...I'll have one then, please. With the works: green onions, butter, pepper, sour cream, bacon bits (real ones), cheese...just load 'er up there S! Drop mine off on your way over to your mom's sweet new place...I'm only 2 mins. from your house (smile).

I know what a relief this can be. Enjoy every day, every moment... I thought I had a long time, it turned out to be only seven months (of course my mum was 92, not 71).
