What I'd Like To Know ...

Do you listen to your mp3 player of choice on "shuffle"?

Why or why not?

All the time. Frankly, I rarely listen to it any other way. I like the surprise of what's coming next. Feels like an old-fashioned mixed tape to me.

I didn't used to (is that grammatically correct?) - because I like the way a cd is crafted and I think artists put alot of thought into how songs flow into each other. But now I do sometimes - depending on the mood.

I usually use shuffle, but not always. I also like the surprise, but more than that, I like 'discovering' a song again that I forgot about.

Sometimes, depends on my mood. Music influences me SO much that often I need to choose what music I need right then (or avoid what music I can't handle at the moment).

almost always. i listen to CDs in the car so that's when I get my albums fix.

Yes, always! It gets to predictable the other way! lol

Almost never. I have lots of different kinds of music in my iTunes, and they don't always work well together. Copland followed by Radiohead followed by Norah Jones followed by Switchfoot is surprising, but not in a good way.

No because I am just anal and wierd so I make my own playlists and listen to them OVER AND OVER. Also, I am what they call "music stupid" and I need my SIL to tell me what to listen to so sometimes I let her make me playlists and then I listen to THEM over and over.

I'm not sure why I don't like shuffle but I don't. Might have to do with not liking roughly half the music I have on my iPod. Like I said, music dumb.

Don't have an MP3 player, but I've never listened to my CD player on the choice of shuffle... I'm too used to what order the songs come on the CD and anticipate the next song... which shuffling ruins!

Yep, use shuffle, but I also use the "skip" button a lot when I don't like what I'm given, so I basically end up listening to the same bunch of songs anyway ...

(Note to self - remove songs that are skipped over more than 90% of the time ...)
