HRM

So I brought my laptop to work today so that I would work on my book at lunchtime and I actually did it.

Net gain?  -50 words.

Maybe I’m doing something wrong (but I’m pretty sure he can’t eat lunch standing at the window and then realize at supper time that he hasn’t stopped for lunch.)

perhaps it wasn't a very memorable lunch.

a while ago i think you said that you were willing to read my work. i'm aiming for 1000 words per day but i don't have a day job so should have no excuse.

if you are interested/open/willing could you send me a little email? there is a place to contact me on my profile.

Sounds like you were editing, not writing. :) Are you an edit-as-you-go writer, or a get-it-all-out and then go back and polish? But I'm doing the same thing - trying to write over lunch hours and coffee breaks, because I have no other time to, and that's not necessarily the most productive time to do it... sigh.

You go, Susan. Every little word is a bit further than you were before. I bring my laptop to work for my lunch break, and I'm thrilled with 50 words. It kinda jump starts me for later in the evening.

A prisoner of hope,
