Shouldn't you be working? I should be.

I had to work late last Thursday so I called A and got her to put the roast in the oven. It was the first time she'd gotten up close and personal with a huge hunk of raw meat.

As she was setting the table, she announced that she was going to become a vegetarian. As I was readying my soapbox, she shook her head.

"Wait, that won't work. I HATE vegetables!"

hahahahahahahahahah

The power has been out all morning, and I've been a little grouchy (though obviously the power has just returned).

And THAT made my day! I love that kid (and her mother)

When my daughter was aged eight she announced that she wanted to be a vegetarian, I said no problem but she would have to eat dishes made out of vegetables, she agreed.

The next night I served her ratatouille made with all the vegetables she didn't like. She took one look and decided to eat meat again!
